What to expect at Beauval Zoo

The Beauval Zoo Park is divided into 22 territories.

The Equatorial Dome, Land of the Lions, The Historic Alley, The North American Territory, The Gorilla Greenhouse, and The Rotunda of Parrots are a few such animal zones, with The Great American South Aviary being the latest addition.

How to reach

Beauval Zoo is located in the town of Saint-Aignan-sur-Cher, Centre-Val de Loire.

It is very hard to reach Beauval Zoo by public transport as there is no direct connectivity by bus or subway line.

But we have a few good suggestions to make your travel easy.

By Coach Shuttle

The coach shuttle connecting Blois SNCF station and Beauval ZooParc covers Contres, Noyers sur Cher, and Saint Aignan towns.

By Train

The St Pierre-des-Corps SNCF station and Blois SNCF station are 55 to 60 minutes away by car.

On the other hand, St Aignan – Noyers sur Cher TER station can be reached within 10 minutes via car.

By Car

The most appropriate way to reach the zoo is by car, so turn on Google Maps and get started!

The zoo offers free car parking facilities in which 4000 vehicles can be accommodated.


The zoo welcomes guests all days of the week around the year, including public holidays.

The zoo opens at 9 am, but its closing hours may vary seasonally.

How long does the zoo take

It may take one complete day to explore the Beauval Zoo owing to its numerous animal territories, shows, and activities.

Some people take a quick stroll through the exhibits and leave within 4 to 5 hours, while families with kids stay until the park closes.

If you wish to spend more time discovering the animal world, consider purchasing a 2-day ticket which also makes your zoo tour less exhausting.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Beauval Zoo is as soon as they open at 9 am.

There are four benefits of starting early – the animals are most active early in the morning, the temperatures are still moderate, the crowd is yet to get in, and you have the whole day to spend at the attraction.

As the day gets hotter, animals prefer staying inside their shelters. As a result, you may get disappointed when you don’t see them in the exhibit.

Weekdays are better for a peaceful visit because the zoo gets crowded on weekends and school holidays.

The zoo is most crowded on weekends between 10 am and 2 pm.
